I finished the whole jar. Here’s what you actually need to know.

I don’t always finish skincare jars. But when I do, they earn it. The Dr.G Black Snail Cream became my surprise MVP, and I’m here to give it the slow-lane credit it deserves.

Let’s start with the texture: it’s thick, almost balm-like at first, but it melts into this dewy, cushiony finish on the skin.

There’s a visible sheen right after applying, which settles down into this healthy glow. Not greasy, but definitely rich. I have combination skin (dry cheeks, oily T-zone), and this walked the line well — no breakouts, no clogged pores, just bouncy, smooth skin.

I used this primarily as a night cream. And honestly? That’s where it shines. It’s too heavy for my morning routine under makeup, but for PM? Chef’s kiss. Every time I woke up, my skin looked rested and plump, like I’d actually gotten 8 hours (lies, but thank you, Dr.G).

Over time, I noticed better moisture retention and a slightly more even tone. I can’t fully speak to the anti-aging claims, but my skin felt healthier.

Snail mucin lovers: this one’s on the denser, more reparative side. It’s not your lightweight essence-style snail product. This is for when your barrier is like “I’m tired, give me soup,” and Dr.G walks in with a blanket and tea.

The only downside? The packaging is kind of bulky for how little product you get, and I wish it came in a tube for hygienic reasons. But I used every last swipe, and I’ll be restocking soon.
