Sweet Glow, Sticky Finish? Trying Numbuzin’s Cult-Fave Toner

First impressions after ~2 weeks of use

This toner has been a lovely surprise in my routine. While it’s still early days, I’ve really enjoyed using it so far and it delivers on more than I expected. From the very first application, I was struck by how hydrating it felt. My skin instantly looked more plump and refreshed, and yes, it does give you that glow it promises.

The texture is notably thick, more syrupy than watery, which I personally like, but it does mean I end up using more than I would with a thinner toner to cover my face and neck. That richness translates well to the skin though, adding noticeable dewiness and bounce.

Scent-wise, it’s a dream. Even though it’s fragrance-free, it has a soft, sweet, almost pear-like scent that seems to come from the natural ingredients. It’s one of those sensorial touches that makes application feel just that bit more luxurious.

A heads-up! This toner is very ferment-heavy, with an ingredient list packed full of various fermented extracts. If you’re sensitive to ferments or have reactive skin, it may not be the best fit. I learned that the hard way as I initially tried it during a bout of sunburn-induced sensitivity, and it stung so badly I had to wash it off immediately. So, definitely patch test and tread carefully if your skin is compromised.

It also contains sodium hyaluronate, which can be a deal-breaker for some, so just something to note.

Overall, while I’m not sure yet whether I’ll repurchase it, I am really glad I picked it up. It’s a fun, glow-boosting step in my current lineup, and I look forward to seeing how it performs longer term, especially once my skin is fully back to baseline.

Best for : Dehydrated, dull skin that tolerates ferments well.

Not for : Very sensitive or compromised skin types.
