I take my night routine super seriously.
If you set up a solid night routine, doing your base makeup the next day becomes way easier.
If you’re thinking, "Ugh, too many steps, too many products... I’d rather just go to a dermatologist," then feel free to skip this.
This is for those committed to long-term home skincare.
So, here’s a daily routine for you!
1. Controlling Sebum
Use a pore pack first, then follow up with a high-end nose pack method to extract sebum.
And if you consistently take care of your skin, your oil-water balance improves, which naturally reduces sebum production. At first, you might have to do this once or twice a week, but over time, you’ll only need it every two weeks!
2. Hydration Boost
Recommended: Modeling Pack
This is the perfect time to slather on a ton of functional ampoules. Like, "Uh? Is this too much??" level. Apply a thick layer of ampoules, then do a modeling pack. Once you peel it off, the excess oil is gone, but the benefits of the ampoules remain. Highly recommended!
- Ampoule Recommendations by Skin Concern
(You should only use one ampoule per concern! If multiple ampoules are recommended for acne, that doesn't mean you use them all—pick one!)
For Acne → Noni, Cica, Zinc PCA
For Even Skin Tone & Blemishes → Vitamin C, Niacinamide
For Pores → Retinol
For Acne Scars → Panthenol
For Dehydrated but Oily Skin → Hyaluronic Acid (But be careful! If the environment is too dry, HA can suck moisture out of your skin, making it drier.)
Dark Circles:
Grayish/Black (caused by fatigue) → Niacinamide
Bluish/Red (visible veins or poor circulation) → Caffeine (Can be used daily & mixed with other products)
Order of Application:
Thin ampoules → Richer ampoules
After the modeling pack, finish with a light moisturizer or cream to lock everything in!
Weekly Skincare Routine Guide (Adjustable!)
To simplify things, here’s a set routine for each day:
Sunday – Sebum control & hydration (Modeling pack)
Monday – Basic routine (Toner → Lotion → Serum → Ampoule → Cream) + Sheet mask (Highly recommended routine!)
Tuesday – "Honey Glow" routine (Inspired by Skin Food masks)
Wednesday – Scrub → Basic routine → "Great Routine" (hydration-focused)
Thursday – Functional mask pack (Rejuran, Medians, etc.)
Friday – Basic routine → "Great Routine"
Saturday – "Honey Glow" routine
Important Notes
Exfoliating/Toning solutions need an adjustment period → Don’t use them daily at first.
Chugging 2L of water at once? No thanks. Not good for the skin either.
Skin can’t absorb too many products at once. If you overload it, your skin might freak out and get even oilier. Instead, apply one product at a time and let it sink in for about 3 minutes before layering the next one.
No harsh rubbing with cotton pads!!! It can damage your skin barrier and trigger breakouts. Instead, in the morning, use a soft toner pad to gently wipe away excess oil after washing your face. (Still, don’t do this every single day!)
