What's up grils! I wanted to share a roundup of all the skincare I’ve been using the past couple of months. I picked these up at the end of March so it’s been just over two months of consistent testing. Since I love writing quick reviews, I'm gonna show one item every day.
About Me
Skin type : Combo leaning dry
Skin concerns : Sensitivity, acne-prone, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and large pores
Climate : Mildly humid spring weather, nothing too extreme
Quick note : All of these products are fragrance and essential oil free. If I mention a scent, I’m referring to the natural scent that sometimes comes with unscented formulas.
So, Today I'm gonna talk about By Wishtrend Vitamin A-mazing Bakuchiol Night Cream.
Rating : 5/5 Would Repurchase, Holy Grail
This is one of those rare cases where a product actually lives up to its name because this cream truly is amazing. It’s my first time trying a retinol-based product, and I was a little nervous at first. I’ve started to notice some fine lines popping up, and I wanted something gentle to ease into the world of retinoids. I saw a video of Sorn trying this out as she also has sensitive skin, and since she had a great experience with it, I figured it was worth a shot.
The cream itself is thick, rich, and has a yellow tint. It’s super emollient, so it glides on beautifully and makes my skin feel instantly smooth and nourished. Even better, it’s not drying at all, in fact, I find it quite soothing. I use it after my serum step and before moisturizer, and the results have been so satisfying: my skin looks firmer, brighter, and my pores and breakouts have noticeably improved. I’ve been waking up with a more refreshed, youthful look, which makes this a total win in my book.
There is a slight medicinal scent, but it’s very mild and fades quickly. It is a bit of a splurge, so I use it every other night but honestly, I don’t even feel tempted to try other retinol products because this one just works so well for me.
If you’re new to retinol or just want something effective but gentle, I can’t recommend this enough.
Here is my last day-shelf! Don't miss out!
I’ve seen bakuchiol everywhere as a “natural alternative,” but I didn’t realize Wishtrend combined it with retinal. That’s a pretty bold formulation choice. Curious if anyone with fungal acne has tried this? That shea butter base gives me pause, but the results sound amazing.
