I wasn’t expecting much.
A sunscreen that doesn’t melt off my face by noon? That doesn’t make me look like a glazed donut with trust issues?
That’s a fantasy. Or so I thought.
Enter: Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen.
Ugh. The name is too long. The bottle looks too soft. The hype? Annoying. So of course, I tried it just to prove everyone wrong.
Except… I didn’t hate it.
In fact—gag—I kind of liked it.
First off, it’s light. Like, barely-there light. No greasy slip-n-slide, no heavy film that makes me want to wash my face the second I step outside. It actually sinks in and leaves me with a hydrated finish that screams “I drank water today,” even if I didn’t.
No fragrance assault. No eye-burning. And no white cast (which is honestly the bare minimum, but still).
The real kicker? My face didn’t melt during a 32°C afternoon commute.
I didn’t look like I had regrets running down my forehead. My makeup? Stayed. Put.
Do I feel betrayed by my own enjoyment?
Absolutely.
Am I mad about it?
…a little.
But summer Disgust has standards. And this one, annoyingly, meets them.
So fine. You win, Round Lab. But don’t get cocky.
I’m watching you.
