I’ve been on a bit of a Freeman mask kick lately and thought I’d share some thoughts on the ones I’ve tried so far! These are around $8-12 USD at Walmart for the full-size tubes, which makes them fun to experiment with, especially if you like customizing your masking routine for different areas of your face like I do.
🍋🌱Mint & Lemon Clay Mask
This one is definitely the most intense of the bunch. It leaves my skin feeling noticeably clearer, but also pretty dry. I’ve stopped reaching for it lately because my combination-dry skin doesn’t love how stripping it can be. Might be better suited for oily or breakout-prone skin.
🥑 Avocad & Oat Clay Mask
A favorite! It’s gentle, calming, and still gives that satisfying deep clean feeling. It contains both kaolin and bentonite clays, which help draw out excess oil without being too harsh. My skin always looks smoother and more even-toned afterward.
🐚🌊Dead Sea Minerals Anti-Stress Mask
This one’s… nice. Not a standout for me, but it’s cooling, gentle, and has a really refreshing bergamot scent that I love. I use it more for the sensory experience than any noticeable skin benefits. I usually apply this to non-problem areas just to relax.
🍌Banana-Oat Instant Smoothing Mask
My current holy grail. This one has glycolic acid, which helps clear up breakouts, especially closed comedones and hormonal acne for me, while also smoothing and softening the skin. It smells amazing like dessert and always leaves my face looking fresh and more refined. If you’re okay with AHAs, I’d highly recommend trying this one.
Bonus Tip
If you like multi-masking, these are perfect. I’ll often apply different masks to different parts of my face depending on what each zone needs. And if you're not ready to commit to a full-size tube, Freeman also sells small sachets that are good for 2–4 uses, great for testing without the commitment.
In Conclusion
Overall, these are fun, budget-friendly masks that can genuinely deliver depending on your skin’s needs. Just be mindful that some formulas are on the stronger side, so it’s worth checking the ingredients list if you have sensitive or reactive skin.
I have combination-dry, acne-prone skin with hormonal breakouts and closed comedones, so if you’ve tried any other Freeman masks you think I should test out, I’d love to hear your recs!
