Okay, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this product, but after a few weeks of using it, I’m pleasantly surprised. Here’s the thing: I don’t typically love heavy balms, but this one is actually nice for what it does. It’s a thick cream, but it sinks into my skin without feeling overly greasy, which is a huge plus in my book.
I’ve been using it after a couple of rounds of retinol (which left my skin a little angry and flaky) and it really helped calm everything down. I have a bit of redness and some dry patches, and this balm honestly worked wonders. It doesn’t promise to be a miracle worker, but it definitely delivers on soothing and repairing. My skin feels softer and looks less irritated when I wake up. I’m into it.
What I like about it is the way it hydrates without suffocating my skin. It has 5% Panthenol, which is great for hydration and healing, and Madecassoside, which helps with inflammation. The Zinc PCA is a nice touch too because it helps with oil control, which, for me, is essential. My skin’s on the drier side, so oil control isn’t my main concern, but it’s good to know this balm won’t clog my pores
Another thing: it’s fragrance-free, which is a game-changer for sensitive skin. I’m always a little wary of products with added scents, so that’s a big plus for me. It also doesn’t have parabens or alcohol, which can be a red flag for anyone with sensitive skin.
But let’s be real—this isn’t something you’ll want to use in the morning if you plan to wear makeup. It’s thick, and while it absorbs well, I’ve found it doesn’t sit great under foundation. That said, I still prefer to use it at night as part of my routine to lock in moisture and help repair my skin while I sleep.
All in all, this is a really reliable repair cream. It’s not revolutionary or something that will totally change your skin overnight, but if you need something to calm down irritated, dry, or flaky skin, it’s a solid option. Will definitely keep using it.
