The cleanser that gets me: Balanced power for combo skin

I’ve been using the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule Foam for about three weeks now, and honestly? This cleanser gets me.

As someone with combo skin that leans oily in the T-zone but can get dry and sensitive around the cheeks, I’ve always struggled with finding a face wash that cleans thoroughly without making my skin feel stripped.

This one is definitely more than your average foaming cleanser.

Cleansing power without the tightness

First off, this stuff foams up like a dream. A little bit goes a long way — just a pea-sized amount and you’ll get a fluffy, dense lather that feels super soft on the skin. I use it as a second cleanser after my oil-based one, and it leaves my skin feeling really clean but not squeaky.

The surprising part? Even when I’ve been out all day with sunscreen and light foundation on, this gets everything off without me having to scrub. There’s no tightness after rinsing, and my skin feels soft but refreshed. No flaky aftermath either, which is a big win for me.

Soothing touch

True to the Centella in the name, this foam really does seem to have a calming effect. I occasionally get stress bumps or redness around my nose and chin, especially during my cycle, and I’ve noticed they go down faster when I’m consistently using this cleanser. It’s nothing overnight or miraculous, but it helps keep things balanced.

Gentle but not weak

If you like cleansers that don’t feel like you’re washing your face with water (you know what I mean), this is for you. It has a slightly low pH feel, not harsh at all, but still gives you that satisfying deep-clean feeling.

I wouldn’t recommend it for removing heavy makeup on its own, but for daily AM and PM routines, it fits perfectly — especially if you’re into minimal irritation and gentle care.

Would I repurchase? I’m already planning to. Especially during the warmer months, this feels like the ideal everyday cleanser for combo skin.

This one surprised me. Low pH, fragrance free, and still foams decently. My T-zone loves it.

I was nervous because “foam” usually means tight skin for me, but this one doesn’t leave me dry at all.

I’ve been using this since winter and didn’t have to switch for spring. That’s rare for a cleanser.

What gets me is the way it rinses. No filmy residue, but also no “squeaky clean” strip. Just… clean.

For combo skin that’s over-exfoliated or recovering, this is gold. It’s non-disruptive.

It’s become my nighttime default for that exact reason. Doesn’t mess with what I layer after.

Also? The tube lasts forever. I’ve been using mine since January and I’m still squeezing it out.

If you’ve been ruined by cleansers in the past, this one feels like an apology letter.

Wish more brands formulated like this. Like caring both barrier respect and good cleansing power.

Can confirm it plays nice with makeup removers too. I double cleanse with a balm and this follows perfectly.

Same combo here. And no tightness even on drier cheek areas.
