so yeah, tried the APLB glutathione niacinamide body lotion cause tiktok said it was “brightening” and all that. figured why not, my legs were looking kinda dull and i love niacinamide in my face stuff. sounded promising.
ㅤ
used it for like... 3 weeks? the bottle’s not even that big btw, and the pump’s kinda stingy so i had to use a ton just to cover my whole body. texture’s okay, not too thick, not watery, kinda like a cheap hotel lotion that tries to be fancy. it soaks in fast at least, i’ll give it that.
ㅤ
as for “brightening”... yeah, nah. didn’t see anything. i even took before and after pics of my arms and thighs (yes, i’m that girl now) and honestly? they looked the same. if anything, the only thing that changed was that my skin felt a little softer. but i can get that from literally any drugstore lotion.
ㅤ
no scent which is good i guess, but like... that also made it kinda boring to use? not that i want fragrance all the time, but this gave nothing. just vibes. bland ones.
ㅤ
also idk if it’s just me but after shaving, it kind of stung on my legs? not burn-your-skin-off kind of stinging, but a tingle that made me regret my life choices.
ㅤ
i really wanted to like it cause the ingredients sound good. glutathione and niacinamide? dream team, right? but either they’re not strong enough or they don’t do much when you just slap them on your body once a day. or maybe i’m just impatient. either way, i’m not spending $ again to find out.

tl;dr: not awful, but not worth it imo. maybe if you have super sensitive skin and want something plain and hydrating, it could work. but if you’re buying this for the “brightening” like i did... don’t hold your breath.

moving on. 🫠
